So after my walk I visited the Forest Service Office located in Prescott and purchased my Senior Pass. I returned to Lynx Lake the next day to take photos of the beauty that I saw the day before. Thus far I have been for a walk at the lake every day this week.
The unexpected gift is that of the parking pass, but more so, the gift to walk in beautiful environments while I am helping myself to return to better physical condition. I've neglected my physical health far too long and have suffered the consequences. I am a walker and have been my entire life, that is, until about 10 years ago. I did not do this on purpose or with intention. I simply neglected an important part of my life. This week I feel that I have given myself a wonderful gift, and part of my thanks for this is the Park Service and their Senior Parking Pass. But a parking pass will not do anything if I do not use it. And I intend to use it regularly and start exercising by walking and hiking nature trails located abundantly around Prescott in Arizona.
